County Uniform Policy

Starting in Fall 2020, Annapolis Soccer Club has a new county soccer uniform policy. In hoping to answer some of the questions around the county uniform change, for this year and moving forward, we want to share this document.  It is a new process, so there will be some learning curves, however, we are confident that the new approach is the best solution for our members. Please have patience as we work through any unforeseen tweaks and adjustments.

Why the change?

Over the years, county uniforms have been the source of some common issues:

  • Players do not always get what they need or deem appropriate

  • Coaches are tasked with unnecessary burdens, i.e. collection

  • Sanitation concerns even before Covid-19 happened

Our goal is to present a consistent cohesive TEAM environment that presents a positive representation of the club to both our community and the greater soccer community within the region. By going to a trustworthy and local supplier, Soccer Post Annapolis, and apparel company, PUMA, we take care of a few of these issues. We were able to negotiate a great rate for our uniforms with a quicker production turnaround in a name brand design.

New Details for Parents

County Soccer Uniforms must be purchased at the time of registration and are in addition to season registration fees. A radio button will ask “Do you need a uniform” during registration and upon selection of “Yes”, a $25 uniform fee will be added to your cart. You will now own the county uniform and will only be charged a uniform fee of approximately $25 per two-year cycle. This means that county uniforms purchased for the Fall 2020 season will be good for Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022. The players and families are responsible for upkeep of their uniform and continuing players will have the opportunity to reuse their uniform if it is in the current style. If you are new to the club, say in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022, it is possible that you may have to purchase uniforms in back to back years as you may be entering the program mid cycle with regards to uniforms.

Distribution of Uniforms

Uniforms will be ordered by the club, via our partner, Soccer Post Annapolis. Coaches will be able to retrieve their team uniform allotment from Soccer Post Annapolis during their regular operating hours. These items will be prepackaged, labeled and specific to the individuals on your team. The coach will continue to receive coaching polos (2).

Jersey Numbers

Numbers will be assigned by the club. We will do our best to avoid number duplicates while working with Soccer Post, however, due to the ability to change teams within ASC, this cannot be guaranteed. That said, the AAYSA County league does not prohibit having duplicated numbers on the field.
