Rec Plus Program Spring 2021
Rec Plus Soccer is our new County Program for those interested in a step above the traditional recreational landscape.

Why Rec+? The main benefit of the Rec PLUS landscape is the added-on Professional Training. For the spring 2021 season, professional training is being conducted by Denison Cabral of the Denison Cabral Futsal Academy (www.denisonfutsal.com ).

Since 2006, Hall of Famer Brazilian native Denison Cabral, former US Men's Futsal National team captain has been sharing his experience and love for Futsal with countless kids through the Denison Cabral Futsal Academy.  He and his professional staff are dedicated to developing young players, using some of the same training methods that made Brazil a perennial world leader in soccer.  With the focus on technical skill development, this unique and effective training program has set thousands of young players on their way to becoming talented soccer and Futsal players of the future.

Once per week for 6 weeks beginning on April 13, the players (and coaches) on this team will receive professional technique training from Coach Cabral to better help them on the field. During the 2nd practice of the week, the Coaches, will instruct the players in the application of the skills learned from the prior session. The Professional Trainer(s) will work with the coaches to set the structure for the 2nd practice and will serve as a consultant throughout the season.

Additional optional training sessions for the Rec Plus teams may be added on Friday evenings.

Who? For the initial Spring 2021 season, we have three Rec Plus teams: Boys U8 (2013), Boys U10 (2011) and Boys U11 (2010) age groups.

Games?  These teams will compete in one or two of the top divisions in Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association League (AAYSA) in the spring season and will receive professional coaching each week. The teams may also compete in one tournament a season. Training will be on Tuesday and Thursday nights, starting on March 9th.

Cost for Player: $225, not including $25 uniform cost for those that did not acquire one in Fall 2020. This price point is $100 above regular county registration cost as payment goes to the professional coach, field rentals, and equipment. Additional costs are the team's decisions - tournaments, gear, etc..
