To our wonderful ASC community,

We can only imagine how the current situation has affected each and every one of our families and individual community members in different ways. We are forever grateful for those of you on the front lines battling this pandemic and we are empathetic to those of you who are anxiously navigating these unprecedented times. We hope that you are staying healthy and heeding the emergency orders, slowly but surely getting into a new routine, and cherishing time with your family. During this unfamiliar time, Annapolis Soccer Club will be providing our community with virtual resources, to which we refer as home training content, to encourage and support skills training at home. Our General Manager, Corey, is working hard to compile a list of resources and a schedule for providing this content, which will be progressive, with weekly themes and challenges.  Corey will be sharing the first of this home training content soon.

Additionally, our travel arm, Maryland Rush, has access to RUSH ROLLS ON, which is a daily program implemented by National Rush. The program has a “Virtual Learning Center” with training ideas, videos, podcasts, quizzes and other content to supplement our players’ training at home.  This program can be accessed through the RUSH ROLLS ON button on the website www.marylandrush.com  

There are also many soccer apps that players can use. The Techne Futbol app provides free videos and training plans, as well as provides an option for paid subscription to allow players to track training progress. The Dribble Up app works specifically with the Dribble Up soccer ball, which we hear is getting positive reviews but does cost some money.

Despite these uncertain times, we are still whole-heartedly committed to carrying out our mission; and especially due to these uncertain times, we hope that providing home training content allows our community to stay connected with the game in a safe and fun way. It is our hope that our players will incorporate age- or skill- specific soccer training into their daily routines and that our parents continue to support our players’ passion for the game.
